
Jed joined The Spaulding Group in June 2011 to head up their rapidly growing Verification Services division. Jed brings over 20 years of experience within the investment industry, with 15 in performance measurement. He was most recently with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where he was an Executive Director of Performance Reporting. Prior to MSSB Jed spent more than 17 years with U.S. Trust Company, where he initially worked in securities operations, including time as a performance analyst, before going on to eventually manage the performance measurement team. In between stints in the investment world, Jed was a statistician at Consumers Union, publisher of Consumer Reports Magazine. Jed received a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and an M.S. in Statistics at Baruch College. Jed holds both the CIPM (Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement) and FRM (Financial Risk Manager) designations. Jed also serves as the firm's Assistant Ethics Officer and is a member of the CFA Institute's CIPM Examination Review Panel. He is also co-author of The Spaulding Group's Guide to the Performance Presentation Standards: Second Edition (TSG Publishing, 2012). Jed currently lives in Northern New Jersey with his wife and two children.
