MCGRAW-HILL TO PUBLISH
DAVID SPAULDING'S NEW BOOK
First industry book on performance attribution due
by end of 2002
Somerset, NJ – March 1, 2002. The Spaulding Group,
Inc. (TSG) announced today that McGraw-Hill
will publish David Spaulding's new book on performance attribution.
Tentatively titled Investment Performance Attribution, with
a subtitle "A guide to what it is, how to calculate it and how to
use it." The book is expected to be published by year-end.
This will be the investment industry's first book on this increasingly
important topic. Performance attribution involves ascertaining the
sources of a portfolio manager's performance.
McGraw-Hill published Dave Spaulding's first book, Measuring
Investment Performance, which was published in 1997 and recently
translated into Japanese.
"I'm obviously quite pleased that McGraw-Hill has once again expressed
interest to publish my work. As was the case with investment performance
measurement in general, there is a need for a reference book for performance
measurement professionals. I'm hopeful that this will become such
a reference" said Dave Spaulding, TSG's president.
Dave Spaulding is an internationally recognized expert on investment
performance measurement and has spoken at conferences throughout North
America, Europe, and Australia. In addition to being president of
The Spaulding Group and publisher of The
Journal of Performance Measurement®, Dave is the Mayor of
the Township of North Brunswick, New Jersey.
