THE SPAULDING GROUP PUBLISHES PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT PROFESSIONAL SURVEY RESULTS

Somerset, NJ – April 26, 2000. The Spaulding Group, Inc. (TSG) has published the results of last year’s Performance Measurement Professional Survey.

"The performance measurement area has grown in such importance and diversity that it should be looked at as a profession" said David Spaulding, TSG’s president. "The impetus for this research project came from the members of The Performance Measurement Forum who wanted to gain insights into how other firms have these departments structured. The survey also addressed educational backgrounds, responsibilities, and compensation for performance measurement department managers and staff."

TSG has conducted numerous surveys in the past, including three that addressed the Association for Investment Management and Research’s Performance Presentation StandardsSM. This was the firm’s first time addressing staffing issues. Over 100 firms participated, from within the U.S. and abroad. The 1999 survey will serve as the base for comparison with future research projects.

The Spaulding Group, Inc. is a management consulting, research, publishing and training firm that serves the money management industry in the areas of computer technology, operations, performance measurement and reporting, and marketing. TSG also publishes The Journal of Performance Measurement, a quarterly publication they launched in 1996, and hosts the Performance Measurement Forum. The company was founded in 1990 by David Spaulding and provides services and products to financial institutions throughout the world.
