THE SPAULDING GROUP HOST'S THE EUROPEAN SPRING
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT FORUM IN OSLO, NORWAY
Jørn Gunnar Kleven of Oppland Energy Serves as Keynote Speaker

June, 2002. The Spaulding Group, Inc. (TSG) held it's 14th Performance
Measurement Forum in Oslo, Norway on 12-13 June 2002 at the Hotel Continental.
The meeting was conducted over a day and a half and included topics
on Performance Attribution, Performance Technology, attribution pitfalls,
the additions of Fee Provisions to the Global Investment Performance
Standards (GIPS®), the Performance Presentation Standards and a
discussion on risk measures. Facilitators included: Graeme Condie of
StatPro, Stefan Illmer of Credit Suisse Asset Management and Corné
Reniers of Robeco Group in the Netherlands. Jørn Gunnar Kleven,
chairman of the Norwegian Society of Financial Analysts commission on
Performance Measurement and deputy to the European Investment Performance
Council, provided the keynote address on "Additions of Fee Provisions
to GIPS."
Fourteen member firms were
in attendance. "This was our most successful European forum to
date. The members really hit the ground running, many discussions spilled
over into lively debates," said Patrick Fowler, Senior Vice President
of The Spaulding Group. "This European meeting was a very intimate
experience of information exchange from people of diverse backgrounds."
The Spaulding Group will host two more meetings this year; November
13-14 in Vienna, Austria and November 18-19 in Chicago, IL. The 2003
European Forum Meetings will take place in Prague, Czech Republic in
the Spring and Edinborough, Scotland in the Autumn.
The
Performance Measurement Forum is an interactive members
only group that meets four times a year to discuss and debate topics
of interest to the group and to the investment community.
