THE
SPAULDING GROUP TO CONDUCT SURVEY ON THE PERFORMANCE PRESENTATION STANDARDS
AIMR® and IMCA Agree to Participate
Somerset, NJ June
26, 2002. The Spaulding Group, Inc. (TSG) announced today that it's
latest survey of the money management industry will address the Performance
Presentation Standards. Four firms have already signed on to cosponsor
this research project: SunGard Investment
Management Systems, Integrated Decision
Systems, Financial Models, Russell/Mellon
Analytical Services, StatPro, Performa
and Ashland Accounting.
The Association of Investment Management
and Research (AIMR) has agreed to assist with the survey content
as well as to make it's members aware of this research effort. The
Investment Management Consultants of America (IMCA) have also agreed
to announce the survey to it's members.
TSG conducted its first survey in 1993, which focused on the AIMR standards.
This survey was repeated and expanded in 1995, 1997 and 2000. Earlier
this year, the firm surveyed the industry on Performance Attribution.
The AIMR-Performance Presentation Standards® became effective in
January 1993; The Global Investment Performance Standards went into
effect in January 2000. TSG wants to determine the attitudes of money
managers, plan sponsors, verifiers and investment consultants about
these standards.
Survey participants will receive complimentary copies of the results.
It is TSG's policy to insure confidentiality of the participants, participant
details will not be shared with cosponsors or other parties.
Surveys will be e-mailed
in early July 2002. You may also participate by visiting our website
by clicking on the PPS Survey button. Results will be published in late
September or October.
