THE JOURNAL OF PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT® ANNOUNCED 2003 DIETZ AWARD WINNERS

Jose Menchero and Stephen Campisi Take Home
Co-Winner Honors

Somerset, NJ – November 7, 2003. The Spaulding Group, Inc. (TSG) announced today the winners of the third annual Peter Dietz Award for excellence in the contribution to the body of knowledge in performance measurement.

The recipients, whose articles appeared in The Journal of Performance Measurement, are:
• Stephen Campisi, "Long Term Risk Adjusted Attribution"
• Jose Menchero (Thomson-Vestek), "Performance Attribution for Short Positions"

The Awards will be presented Monday, December 8, 2003 at the DoubleTree Guest Suites Hotel in New York City at the third annual Awards Dinner for The Journal of Performance Measurement.

The award is named for Peter O. Dietz, who passed away over 11 years ago and whose seminal work, "Pension Funds-Measuring Investment Performance," was the basis for the Bank Administration Institute's performance reporting standards ("Measuring the Investment Performance of Pension Funds"). Mr. Dietz also developed the well known Modified Dietz Method and other formulas to calculate rates of return, that are still widely used today.

The award's dinner will also celebrate the contributions of its editorial advisory board, as well as the journal's seventh year of publishing.

StatPro has signed on to Cosponsor the awards dinner.
