SPAULDING GROUP HOSTS FIRST INVESTMENT PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT BOOT
CAMP
25 Students from
16 Firms Attend Inaugural Training
The Spaulding Group,
Inc. (TSG) recently held its inaugural Investment Performance Measurement
Boot Camp at the Heldrich Hotel in New Brunswick, NJ. The week long
class took place from July 23 through July 27th. It was taught by
industry veterans, David Spaulding, CIPM, and John D. Simpson, CIPM,
from The Spaulding Group as well as Stephen Campisi, CFA, from Intuitive
Performance Solutions. Twenty-five students attended.
"We
wanted to offer the market a unique training solution to bring their
newer staff up to speed in a short amount of time," said TSG's
president, David Spaulding. "I think we accomplished that and also
provided the attendees with a good mix of education, take away materials,
resources and perhaps most importantly, memories and contacts that they
will have for the rest of their careers."
When
asked what their overall impression of the class was, 69% of the attendees
rated it "excellent," 27% rated it "very good" and
4% rated it "good." When asked to rank the instructors on
a scale of 1 to 5 (with five being the highest) the instructors averaged
a 4.8.
"I
have been to many classes and I would rate this as one of the best.
Overall the class was very good and you made it a comfortable and enjoyable
experience," said Jim Gordon of Sindex Systems an attendee of the
Boot Camp. Other students wrote, "Very organized and methodical.
Nice to mix up different trainers and styles." "David, John,
and Patrick thank you for an outstanding week. In addition to learning
more than I expected I had an opportunity to meet wonderful people."
"For the first boot camp it was awesome. You all seemed like pros.
Keep up the good work!" The Spaulding Group's current plan is to
offer this training once a year in July for a limited number of participants.
